The owners of this beautiful golf side home came to me hoping to find new furniture that they loved as much as what they had, but fit the space better. In this open concept living room, their 10 x 10 rug looked small, and they needed more furniture to accomplish the finished look they really wanted. The furniture had to sit firm and the tones had to go with the stone floors and the dark, transitional style cabinets. We upgraded to a 12 x 15 rug, went for two smaller sofas instead of one standard size, and then replaced the two swivels. The large coffee table helped ground the space and tie in the dark wood from the kitchen. Even without accessories, the furniture and rug being the proper scale really enhanced how beautiful the space is.
